Top 10 Cannabis Places In The World
The quest for the penultimate bud with epic highs has brought about the creation of some pretty amazing strains of cannabis. It isn’t hard to imagine that each wants to be able to claim the title of ”World’s Best”. This is the main purpose behind the Cannabis Cup.
The various regions known for quality cannabis include Mexico, Afghanistan, and Holland, just to name a few. As cannabis is becoming more mainstream, the market is seeing a whole new level of quality cannabis from around the world.
The Top 10 Cannabis Places are…
Long known for the production of cocaine, Colombia also produces some of the best cannabis strains. The climate is ideal for outdoor cultivation. The legalization of cannabis for medical use and regulation found a firm foothold for profits in health trade.
Colombia is moving into the cannabis market in spite of their cartel drug lords of days of old. With so much profit to be made legally, the country has gone balls deep. The country’s plan is to encourage companies to come to Colombia to grow their cannabis.
Nigeria has not legalized cannabis. That has not prevented them from being ranked amongst the top cannabis consuming countries. Cannabis is widely grown in most states across Nigeria.
Cannabis is “like pure water” in Nigeria. Life-giving and life-sustaining, cannabis and hemp provide many for many of the country’s needs. Cannabis Sativa’s origin can be traced to Central and South East Asia. Nigerians know it as Indian hemp.
The sheer quantity of product used and produced by this country is a testament to the quality of Nigerian weed.
The country responsible for the origin of “marijuana” has to have some quality bud. Mexican Sativa, Kush, and Chronic are among the best. “La Cucaracha” is allegedly about a cockroach that ran out of weed.
Most Americans associate Mexican cannabis with ditch weed or dirt weed. It is considered to be of low quality. This is due to the vast quantities shipped. The product usually arrives in a highly compressed form. It is dark in color and lower quality than the majority of product seen. Most know nothing of the great Mexican varieties available. It would be easy to assume the quality is less than stellar.
Back in 2014, the quality of Canadian weed was already top notch. Countries just beginning the cultivation of cannabis turned to Canada. Uruguay is known to have contacted the Canadian powers that be to request samples. These “samples” would be used to pick the strains to be grown.
I can just imagine that exchange:
Hey, Canada… I hear you have really good bud. Would you hook us up with some product? Why? We are, uh, going to start growing. Yeah, that’s the ticket. We need to “test your product” to make sure we get the best. We’ve also got a line in to Afghanistan, so..
Well played, Uruguay.
Note: Uruguay is not on this list. Very interesting….
Jamaica’s love affair with Mary Jane is probably the oldest known affair. Here she thrives with the sparking waters, sea air, and perfect temperatures. Those who seek her out will find her with the quality one would expect from old bloodlines. The cultural association goes back centuries.
In the 1960s Jamaican weed was one of the few exotic cannabis varieties available in the USA. The 1970s brought horror to Jamaican weed. The island’s plant crops were targeted for eradication. Decades later, true Jamaican Ines are almost extinct. The infusion of strains which increased stoniness and decreased towering time breathed new life into the long time love.
Now, the climate allows for three (3) growing cycles of some of the most amazing quality cannabis in the world. Ideal time to go in said to be in April, in case you’re curious.
The country that was used as a penal colony for the British is also home to world class bud. Why not. I cannot imagine that cold would be an issue. Mold would also be non-existent. The vast distances between neighbors, civilization, and the like make growing bud a dream.
Cannabis is the most used “illicit substance” in Australia. The native tribes are among the biggest group of users in the country. As of 2016, the Australian Federal Government legalized cannabis.
Home of the Cannabis Cup which is held in Amsterdam every year. I don’t think Reggie Weed as we know it even exists in this country. This country is a cannabis lover’s Mecca. At least one in five of travelers to the country are there for the cannabis. More than 200 legal coffee shops operate in the city. Realistically, mind blowing bud can’t be far away.
The majority of the varities on the market have some connection to the Netherlands. The strains produced there are among the best known to man. Where better from to pull your attributes than those from the country that hosts the Cup!
Laws prohibit the use of cannabis in Kazakhstan. That did not stop the locals from sneaking down under cover of night to harvest. The post-Soviet era brought about a more relaxed attitude toward cannabis. Trafficking is considered a threat to national security.
Itmust be because they are just stingy as a miser with heir herb. The country has more than 400,000 hectares of wild cannabis. With that kid of quantity, you’d think they could break off with a little.
Afghanistan is home to some old genelines. Kush lines, known for pungent, slinky odor are descended from the landrace Ines in this region. The landrace lines are fewer and fewer. Hybrids are slowly phasing out any pure lines still in existence.
The plants from this region include those responsible for hashish. This country has long loved Mary Jane, as well. The plants cultivated there are generations old lines bred from the finest in existence.
It would be really easy to say that this country bought its place on the list. I am, after all, American, right? Let me clarify my position. This is a list based on research. The majority of the statements made are pretty easy to verify. I don’t want to to delve into the obscure.
In all reality, if one thing is certain
…the Feds have the best weed on earth. The American government owns the patent on the chemicals compound for cannabinoids (Patent #663507).
Tell me they don’t know how to tweak and breed things to suit their needs.
If the American people are going to do something, one can expect it to be a contender on the world stage.
The FDA and DEA wage war on nature. The Feds patented the compound in the middle of the controversy. Now, the states are legalizing one by one. The alphabet soup fighting against it is feeding its metaphorical slop to the masses. The Feds cash in.
The Feds say it is illegal but give the states the right to choose.
Big Pharma cries to Big Brother who bullies the neighborhood kids into playing by their rules.
One by one, rebels stand.
The death grip once held on society by Big Pharma is lessening.
The fist that once held strong is withering and dying.
The American people shine through adversity. Those beacons of hope shine bright in the legalized states. They may try to feed us lies and propaganda, yes. It is up to us to educate ourselves.
…Andeducate we did
Any and all of the best weed lines available in the world today can be found in the USA. If we don’t have it, we WILL get it There really is no limit to the possibilities if you put your mind to it.
Some of the sheeple still need convincing. Many still deny the government could – nay would – perpetrate such a fallacy.
People don’t like what they don’t understand. In fact, it scares them. Many fear change in general. For a better part of my life cannabis has been illegal. Legalization seemed an unrealistic goal. The attitude towards cannabis has done an about-face just in my lifetime.
For each one who has the right to smoke freely now, there are thousands who cannot. Each victory is monumental. We are witnessing history in the making.
The United States of America is legalizing marijuana after decades of criminalization.
If that doesn’t make you proud to be in this exact time at this exact moment, then you need to smoke more.
To all our servicemen and servicemen and all those who have fought, bled and died in pursuit of the legalization of cannabis:
