Super Lemon Haze is a Sativa dominant hybrid, and with two Cannabis Cup wins under its belt it has certainly earned the “Super” in its name. Its genetics heavily favor the sativa side, with a sativa/indica ratio of 80/20. The strain has an array of beautiful shades of green and brown all covered by shining trichromes. When you see its flowers you’ll know you are in for a good time. Super Lemon Haze is a strain that will get you high, but might not have all the therapeutic properties of strains with higher CBD levels. Nonetheless, it’s a lot of fun and perfect for daytime smoking or parties.
Experience & Effects
This strain’s aromas are citrusy, skunky, earthy, and even a little sweet. When smoking you’ll experience flavors that remind you of lemon candy – sweet, tangy, and lemon. Super Lemon Haze has a lot of trichromes so make sure to have a kief catcher on your grinder when busting it up. That way you can continue to enjoy the high after you inevitably smoke up all your flowers.
The high’s onset takes a little while to get going, but once it hits you, you will you know it! The high is very energetic and euphoric. Mainly centered in your head, this strain will have you feeling more focused, giggly, and peppy. However, if you are prone to paranoia this strain might amp you up a little too much in the wrong situation.
The amount of sativa qualities in this strain makes the Super Lemon Haze a great party choice. You can blast the bong, or smoke a couple joints and keep partying without fear of couch-lock or getting sleepy.
The strain’s great party qualities are largely thanks to its incredibly high THC content, with some plants being tested at a whopping 25% THC. The CBD on the other hand is largely absent, usually coming in around >0.5%. Because of this THC/CBD ratio, you’re going to miss out on a lot of the great therapeutic benefits you get from other strains.
That being said, Super Lemon Haze still has some fantastic medical benefits. Its high energy and uplifting high is great for people suffering from depression, and fatigue. It also has been known to help alleviate suffering caused from chronic pain and migraine headaches.
If you are suffering from nausea, or lack of appetite this strain is exactly what you need to get your stomach rumbling and your phone calling the local pizza joint. Trust me, you are going to get the munchies.
Not all is positive in Super Lemon Haze land; some of the negative effects include a very dry mouth, dry eyes, and the occasional dizzy feeling. Though the dizziness might just be because the weed is that strong.
